How to play
Start a run, then tap four different colors to guess the hidden sequence. Correct positions highlight as you enter them. The fourth tap checks automatically—there is no Check button. After a miss, tap any available color to begin the next attempt. Clear removes only a partial attempt.
Runs begin with 30 seconds. Every solved code adds three seconds and awards base, speed, and efficiency points. A solved code clears immediately so you can continue without a forced pause.
Accessibility and settings
- Color Symbols: Settings → Color Symbols → On adds shapes so color is never the only identifying cue.
- VoiceOver and Voice Control: Controls have names and position feedback.
- Motion and contrast: Tap Hack follows your iPhone accessibility settings.
- Themes: Open Themes from the Home screen.
- Sound: Settings → Sound Effects and Sound Effects Volume. iPhone volume and Silent Mode also affect playback.
If text or controls are clipped, include your iPhone model, iOS version, text size, Display Zoom setting, appearance, and theme in the report.
Tap Hack Plus and purchases
Monthly and lifetime Plus options unlock the same premium themes, sound packs, detailed statistics, and ad removal. Accessibility and the complete core game remain free.
- Restore Purchases: Settings → Restore Purchases.
- Manage a monthly subscription: Settings → Manage Subscription, or use Apple’s subscription settings. This action appears for monthly subscribers.
- A lifetime purchase is a one-time entitlement and does not renew.
- Pending purchases unlock only after Apple verifies approval.
Purchases are tied to the Apple Account used in the App Store. Never send support your Apple Account password or payment-card information. For charges, refunds, or billing issues handled by Apple, visit Apple Billing Support on Apple’s website.
Game Center
Open Compete from the Home screen to see the Game Center dashboard, leaderboards, and achievements. If progress does not update:
- Confirm Game Center is signed in in iOS Settings.
- Check that the device is online.
- Finish another run and reopen Tap Hack so pending submissions can retry.
- Record the Tap Hack build, iPhone and iOS version, approximate time, score, and achievement name—never your password.
Local play remains available while Game Center is offline, but Apple-hosted leaderboard position may not refresh immediately.
Ads and privacy choices
Ads can appear only after eligible completed runs and never interrupt active play. Tap Hack skips an unavailable ad rather than showing it late. When privacy choices are required for your region, open Settings → Privacy → Privacy Choices. See the Privacy Policy for information about advertising providers and data use.
To report an inappropriate ad, use the ad’s own report control first. You can also email hello@gumshark.com with the approximate time, country, advertiser or product name, a safe screenshot, the Tap Hack version, and whether the ad appeared after a run. Never send passwords, advertising identifiers, receipts, or full device logs.
Legacy theme
Legacy unlocks after a single run reaches 5,000 points. It is free and cannot be purchased. Settings → Privacy → Delete Local Game Data removes local scores, settings, history, and earned themes after confirmation.
Local data and requests
Tap Hack version one has no custom account, cloud-sync service, or player profile stored on Gumshark servers, so there is no Gumshark account-data export to request. To remove gameplay information stored by the app, open Settings → Privacy → Delete Local Game Data. This removes local scores, statistics, settings, run history, and earned themes after confirmation.
Deleting local data or the app does not cancel purchases or remove Apple-hosted Game Center records. For questions about Tap Hack data, email hello@gumshark.com.
